With a slimmer build and a more even temperament, David Ortiz used and autographed this bat as he debuted with the Minnesota Twins. The Louisville Slugger (31.1-oz/33-3/4”) “C243” block-letter model features a cupped end, a black “Smith” finish and is signed by Ortiz in silver marker (“9” strength) and inscribed “#27” between the center brand and barrel stampings. Graded GU 8.5 by PSA/DNA, the weapon shows outstanding use with ball and stitch marks throughout, as well as a criss-cross tape pattern and a mended crack on the handle. Full photo LOAs from John Taube, PSA/DNA (for bat use) and JSA (for autograph).
