Turn-of-the-century pair of 1903 and 1909 Spalding Football bound guides with provenance. Includes:
1903 Spalding Football guide: (presents VG condition overall with moderate cover wear and an interior pencil notation, the owner's name is firmly pressed in gilt lettering). Originally belonged to Parke H. Davis who played for Princeton in 1889 and was a coach for Amherst, Lafayette and Wisconsin. The football historian single-handedly selected the national champions from 1869-1933;
1909 Spalding Football Guide: (presents VG overall with moderate cover wear and interior notations and stampings). Belonged to E.B. Moss who was a sports writer for the New York Evening News over a century ago.
