Short-lived in its 1950s tenure in Brooklyn, the Dodger Beverage Co. disappeared when its baseball namesake took flight to the left coast. This advertising sign is an incredibly rare survivor from those days in Flatbush! Measuring 32x24, the sturdy die-cut display reads “Dodger Beverages Taste Good” with the “Dodger” in the script-style font made famous by the ball club. An image of the bottled product enticed viewers at the far left. The product was soda, incidentally, not beer, as errantly reported by some sources. The sign shows the effects of display, which actually add to the aesthetic appeal!
