Description

Stars of the Speedway demonstrate their signing talents in this sizzling collection. Centered on the rousing Indy 500 racing event, dozens of open-wheel circuit daredevils have applied their sought after endorsements to a variety of vintage 1974-1983 materials with average (“7-9”, 20% lesser) potency. Lot highlight is a 1983 A&S Racing complete card set of (50) with (25) signed including (8) race winners. Auction LOA from JSA. Detailed description on our website.

This lot comes from the personal collection of Dick Luther, a venerable Wisconsin basketball coach who has associated with and befriended countless athletes over the years. One of four Luther lots in our current auction, these vintage original materials are being offered for the first time as the coach is liquidating his lifetime collection. Please see the Other Sports-Auto Racing, Baseball Cards-Sets & Near Sets and Basketball-Autographs categories for the other three lots.
