Description

You have to do something right to get your face on the $50 bill. Credit and gratitude for preserving the Union are granted to Ulysses S. Grant (d.1885), who served faithfully as Commander of the Army and 18th U.S. President during the Civil War and Reconstruction. Signed as “U.S. Grant” on a business card sized cut (NM, minor toning), Grant’s executive strength autograph show’s desirable (“8-9”) potency with deference to some very minor ink migration on the end strokes. Full photo LOA from JSA.
