Graded 60 EX 5 by SGC. Magnificent 1951 Bowman Baseball #253 Mickey Mantle rookie that presents much higher than the technical grade suggests! The horizontal batting image of "The Mick" is surrounded by four razor-sharp corners, clean off-white edges and relatively accurate centering. The gray reverse which commonly displays reverse wax staining is absent of such imperfection. While the heroic illustration does not feature perfect registration, the overall presentation of this iconic rookie high number still presents at the zenith of its technical assessment.
