For all intents and purposes these are the issues that launched the Silver Age for the Marvel Group, cementing their esteemed recognition in comic book history. Issues #1, #2, #4 and #5 have repeatedly showed up on Overstreet’s “Top 20 Silver Age Comics” list and #3 is reported as the 25th most valuable comic of the period. Additionally these issues appear on every top S.A. list discovered by extensive research. A timely reboot of the Fantastic Four movie franchise will hit theaters on 8/7/15 just as this current auction comes to a close, paving the way for potential overnight increases in value for these revered key issues.
