Through more than 60 years as a devoted scout, George Digby discovered BoSox icons Mike Greenwell, Jody Reed (among others) and signed Wade Boggs. He also, of course, endured the hardships of bridesmaid status and unthinkable setbacks as part of that famed “curse” that clouded the franchise for nearly a century. Well, here’s a piece for all in the Red Sox Nation to treasure: a 1967 American League Champions ring awarded to Digby, the lone scout elected to the Red Sox Hall of Fame! More on our website.

Crafted by Balfour, the 10-karat gold size 10-1/2 accessory features the team’s “B” logo in “dirty sox” font with red-colored stones on a facing surrounded by “BOSTON RED SOX AL CHAMPINS” in raised letters. The left shank features a team logo and “1967” raised numeral design, while the right shank shows “DIGBY” engraved on a scroll atop a relief Red Sox cap and glove.
