Never distributed, these postcards and 4-1/2 x 7" brochures hawk Sain's innovative "Spinner" invention, with the back-story described this way in his brochure: "For a long time, I used to demonstrate rotation by holding a ball in my left hand and showing the various types of spin with the other. This left something to be desired...One afternoon I noticed Ralph Terry on the bench practicing spin by flipping the ball in various ways. I said, 'Ralph, I'm going to fix up a ball so that you can spin it a whole lot easier and better than that. Thinking about it on the way home, an idea occurred to me. When I got home, I went into the living room, picked an apple out of the fruit bowl, then plucked the end out of one of the 'rabbit ears' (indoor antenna) of my TV set. I stuck the thin bar through the apple, and I now had a 'baseball' I could spin to my heart's content. The next step was the development of the Baseball Spinner shown in the photos."
