Detailed description on website.
Spared for the cavernous sports cathedral on the shores of Lake Erie, this Municipal Stadium free-standing seat is a tried and true relic that provided a vantage point for thousands of Indians and Browns games (as well as the infamous 10-cent beer night). The sturdy iron frame stands 25-1/2 x 31” and is shaped to form armrests and four legs. There are three wooden backrest panels (with “9” stenciled on the uppermost panel) and a hinged wooden seat. Incredible wear is evident in the form of rust about the metallic components, paint chipping throughout. Additionally, the backrest panels appear to have been trimmed at the sides, likely to facilitate removal from a row of multiple chairs.
