Who’s your daddy? Why, it’s five-time ERA champion and Hall of Famer Pedro Martinez, who wore this Philadelphia Phillies road jersey during his 2009 swan song. The gray micromesh button-down garment features embroidered and twill identifiers, as well as proper “Majestic” tagging. None the worse for his 18 stellar seasons, Martinez went 5-1 and helped power the Phils to their second straight World Series appearance that year. Full photo LOA from Dave Miedema. The gray micromesh button-down garment features “Phillies” displayed across the chest in red script-style embroidery on white twill (with blue five-point stars dotting the “i’s”). In red-on-white twill, “45” is sewn to the back and “MARTINEZ” is arched just above. An MLB silhouette logo is sewn atop the back, while the left breast features a 2”-diameter black patch with “HK” embroidered in memory of deceased announcer Harry Kalas. The tapered left front tail is home to a “Majestic” size “46” applique label, while the left side seam’s interior features a fabric content tag with an “0063” gamer code. On the lower portion of the right side button path, a swatch has a chain-stitched "09" identifier. The all-original jersey shows moderate wear and has underarm gussets that are standard for Martinez gamers.
