Description

As the Philly roster began to take shape in the early-1990s, these (8) uniform items were worn by Phillies players/coaches. The items show light to moderate wear and include: Ruben Amaro, Jr. (1992 road jersey); Tommy Greene (1990 road jersey); Charlie Hayes (1990 road jersey; autographed); Dave Hollins (1990 home jersey; autographed); Dickie Noles (1990 road jersey); Mike Ryan (1991 coach’s ensemble; autographed); Dale Sveum (1992 road jersey). Ruben Amaro, Jr. 1992 Philadelphia Phillies Game-Worn Road Jersey: a gray knit button-down garment with script-style “Phillies” across the chest in red embroidery on white twill (with blue five-point stars to dot the “i’s”). In red-on-white twill, “33” is sewn to the back and left sleeve, while “AMARO” is arched atop the back number. White-and-red striped stretch ribbed knit lines the sleeve endings. The tapered left front tail is home to a “Russell Athletic” size “44” label, a “1992” swatch and a fabric content tag.

 

Tommy Greene 1990 Philadelphia Phillies Game-Worn Road Jersey: a gray knit button-down garment with the script-style “P” logo sewn to the left breast in maroon-on-white satin twill, “49” sewn to the back and right front and “GREENE” arched on a nameplate atop the back number in like fashion. Maroon-and-white trim lines the shoulders and sides, while a 3-1/2”-diameter team logo patch adorns the left sleeve. Within the collar, a “Rawlings” size “48” label is accompanied by a “SET 2 1990” flap tag.

 

Charlie Hayes 1990 Philadelphia Phillies Signed Game-Worn Road Jersey: a gray knit button-down garment with the script-style “P” logo sewn to the left breast in maroon-on-white satin twill, “8” sewn to the back and right front and “C. HAYES” (to differentiate between “Charlie” and teammate “Von” Hayes) arched on a nameplate atop the back number in like fashion. On the lower right front, Hayes has signed in black marker (“8-9” strength) and inscribed “#8.” Maroon-and-white trim lines the shoulders and sides, while a 3-1/2”-diameter team logo patch adorns the left sleeve. Within the collar, a “Rawlings” size “46” label is accompanied by a “SET 1 1990” flap tag and a swatch with “C. HAYES” stitched in red.

 

Dave Hollins 1990 Philadelphia Phillies Signed Game-Worn Home Jersey: a white knit button-down garment with a maroon pinstripe pattern, the script-style “P” logo sewn to the left breast in maroon-on-white satin twill, “15” sewn to the back and right front and “HOLLINS” arched on a nameplate atop the back number in like fashion. Executed vertically on the back “5,” Hollins’ black marker signature projects (“9”) strength. Maroon trim lines the shoulders and sides, while a 3-1/2”-diameter team logo patch adorns the left sleeve. Within the collar, a “Rawlings” size “46” label is accompanied by a “SET 1 1990” flap tag and a swatch with “HOLLINS” stitched in red.

 

Dickie Noles 1990 Philadelphia Phillies Game-Worn Road Jersey: a gray knit button-down garment with the script-style “P” logo sewn to the left breast in maroon-on-white satin twill, “34” sewn to the back and right front and “NOLES” arched on a nameplate atop the back number in like fashion. Maroon-and-white trim lines the shoulders and sides, while a 3-1/2”-diameter team logo patch adorns the left sleeve. Within the collar, a “Rawlings” size “44” label is accompanied by a “SET 1 1990” flap tag and a swatch with “NOLES” stitched in red. Graded ":Authentic" with an LOA from MEARS.

 

Mike Ryan 1991 Philadelphia Phillies Signed Game-Worn Coach’s Road Ensemble: Includes: Signed Jersey: a gray knit button-down garment with the script-style “P” logo sewn to the left breast in maroon-on-white satin twill, “5” sewn to the back and right front and “RYAN” arched on a nameplate atop the back number in like fashion. On the lower right front, Ryan has signed in black marker (“8” strength). Maroon-and-white trim lines the shoulders and sides, while a 3-1/2”-diameter team logo patch adorns the left sleeve. The tapered left front tail’s interior is home to a “Rawlings” size “44” label, a “SET 1 1991” flap tag and a swatch with an embroidered “T” identifier; Pants: gray knit leg wear with maroon-and-white trim lining the outer legs, two back pockets, a two-button zippered fly and six belt loops. Within the elasticized waistband, a “Rawlings” label is accompanied by a lengthy strip tag with chain stitched identifiers reading “RYAN 34 29 91” and a “SET 1 1991” flap tag.

 

Dale Sveum 1992 Philadelphia Phillies Game-Worn Road Jersey: a gray knit button-down garment with script-style “Phillies” across the chest in red embroidery on white twill (with blue five-point stars to dot the “i’s”). In red-on-white twill, “8” is sewn to the back and left sleeve, while “SVEUM” is arched atop the back number. White-and-red striped stretch ribbed knit lines the sleeve endings. The tapered left front tail is home to a “Russell Athletic” size “46” label, a “1992” swatch and a flap tag denoting “1” Extra Body and Sleeve Length.”

 

Huggins and Scott is allowing the winning bidder 45 days from the date when payment is received to have the item independently authenticated. Payment must, however, be made within two weeks from the end of the auction. Huggins and Scott is not responsible for any authentication fees or shipping charges incurred by the winning bidder but H&S will refund the hammer price and buyer's premium if the item does not pass authentication with a reputable third party company.
