Though the accompanying LOA is cited with “all underlying signatures have been enhanced by an unknown hand”, this vintage relic is made important by the incredible contingent of original signers, which includes HOFers: A. All (21) signatures show boldly on a walnut toned ball which has acquired its even coloring as the result of a vintage coating of shellac. Though the stampings are almost entirely faded, this solid Spalding sphere remains highly pleasing.
