Cashing in on his popular work for circa 1970 Fleer trading card issues, artist Bob Laughlin created a series of baseball HOFer caricature stand-ups in 1973. Offered is a “Babe” Ruth piece from this scarce and unique series. Standing nearly 12” tall by approximately 6” wide, this captivating image depicts the “Babe” in a classic batting pose with his nickname at bottom. Displaying as like-new, this highly desirable piece is signed on the reverse by the artist. An unused easel leg attached to the reverse testifies to the pristine nature of this well-preserved collectible.
